Becoming a business owner (independent adjuster) was my dream, but I was stuck.
Here's how I transitioned to owning a business. (be becoming an independent adjuster)
I was working in a warehouse
But after years I hit a pay ceiling and I personally felt like I was on rock bottom.
Every morning I thought:
I dislike the lack of growth.
I'm tired of the long hours.
I'm frustrated with the lack of recognition.
I'm feeling trapped by the routine.
I'm annoyed by the politics.
But now I'm energized because I own my own business.
I was given a chance to learn how to become an independent adjuster that owned my own business by my father-in-law and mentor.
Now I do the same for others.
I mentor adjusters, help them realize their dream of a career writing estimates.
This shift was a turning point.
How did my career shift happen?
→ Taking risks
→ Working hard
→ Having a mentor
→ Investing effort to grow it
→ Self-teaching necessary skills
→ Remaining patient and not giving up
→ Having my mentor bridge the trust gap for me to my first clients
It was a year-long journey with extra work on evenings and weekends to be able to leave my warehouse job and become an independent adjuster.
While others were busy with:
- Vacations
- TV binges
- Video games
- Social events
I was committed to learning and hard work.
The secret to leaving a stagnant career:
• Focus on growth.
• Confront your true feelings. Face the reality.
• Find people who support your dream.
The significance of perseverance and dedication is immense.
My goal was realized.
If I can achieve this career shift, I know you can too.
If you need help becoming an independent adjuster, I can be your mentor like my father-in-law was for me.
